We grade to the Digital Legitimacy Score.
Six pillars, one rubric. We grade every site we audit and every page we build against the same standard. The score is honest. The gaps become the plan.

Three minutes to score. No email gate. Honest read of where your site sits.

See the six pillars and the full frameworkThe order matters. Skip a phase and the next one compounds the gap. We do not skip phases, even when the timeline pinches.
Discovery sessions, founder interviews, audience research. We take longer here than most agencies, on purpose. If that is a dealbreaker, we are gently honest that we are not your fit.
Output · Brief, audience profiles, competitive landscape, the audit.Sharpen what is vague. Sometimes that is messaging: headlines, proof points, the elevator pitch. Sometimes it is architecture built around the audience we named in Phase 01, or a brand wedge gone blunt. We name what is fuzzy and fix it, before any pixel earns its place.
Output · Positioning doc, voice guide, page-by-page narrative, or the sharpened brief that replaces them when the team already has them.Design and prototype against the message. Distinctive, not generic. We refuse the SaaS-template aesthetic. If a stranger could not identify the work as yours in a lineup of five, it is not done.
Output · Brand system, page designs, motion notes, prototype.Production-grade engineering. Static-first where possible, performant by default, accessible by requirement. Core Web Vitals in the green before launch is a non-negotiable.
Output · Built site, CMS, content seeded, redirects mapped, QA passed. The site is the start, not the finish. Retainer-backed iteration on SEO, content, and conversion. We measure what changed, share it openly, and adjust.
Output · Monthly report, prioritized backlog, ongoing optimization. Most agencies build first and ask later, or never. We name your primary audience, and what clarity looks like for them, before design starts. Serve everyone and you serve no one.
We do not adopt tools for fun. Every tool earns its place by making the work faster, clearer, or more consistent.
We use AI to go deeper, not to skip work. Nothing ships without a person’s judgment on it. The craft belongs to the human.
You cannot reverse the order. Doors open because you serve well, not because you declare them open.
The Digital Legitimacy Score is the most concrete way to see the difference. Where most agencies hand you a website, we hand you a measurable system.
| Dimension | Typical agency | Creative Nomads |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Wireframes & mockups in week one | Clarity about the primary audience; messaging when the words are the bottleneck |
| Success metric | "Launch", site is live | Conversion, donor giving, booked work |
| Discovery depth | 1–2 kickoff calls | Founder interviews, audience research, audit |
| Design approach | Template-led, generic SaaS aesthetic | Distinctive; refuses the template pile |
| SEO posture | Bolt-on after launch | Schema, internal linking, AI extractability built in |
| Post-launch | You take it from here | Monthly iteration on real numbers |
| Honesty policy | Whatever keeps the contract | We'll tell you when you're wrong |
Clarity and sharpen runs three to four weeks for most teams, less when the brief is already sharp. A focused build runs eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to launch; complex platforms (multilingual, multi-audience, deep integrations) run twelve to twenty. Care plans are month-to-month with sixty-day notice.
If you cannot name who the site is primarily for, no amount of beautiful design will rescue it. A homepage that talks to donors, board, partners, and hires all at once says nothing to any of them. We make the audience choice explicit first. That is what makes everything downstream compound.
No. The gate is clarity about who your site is for, not a particular deliverable. We have shipped rebuilds, SEO sprints, and brand work with no separate messaging block, when the foundation was already sharp. If it is not, we say so up front, and either fold a clarity sprint in or scope it as phase one.
Yes. We will tell you honestly if the existing brand is holding the work back, and we will quote the rebrand separately if it is. We do not force a rebrand to inflate the invoice.
Both. Our Strategic care tier includes ongoing optimization, and dedicated SEO retainers go deeper. We also build AI-search-ready architecture into every site by default (schema, llms.txt, structured content) because the next decade of search is not just Google.
We do not move to the next phase until the current one is signed off. If something is off, we revise inside the phase budget until it is right. You are never carried forward on top of a foundation you did not approve.
Yes. Our team has shipped multilingual mission platforms, CRM and marketing-automation sync, real-time data feeds, and multi-location local SEO architectures. If the requirement is exotic, we will say so up front and quote it honestly.
We will tell you whether the route is right, what stands in the way, and what it will take to get there. No filler. No vague decks.
