Chapter · Problem

Help that was hard to see.

The Hutto Resource Center nurtures connections and builds hope in the Hutto community, through compassion and collaboration.

The people they serve needed to see every way the center could help, along with news and updates from the organizations involved.

The site needed a fresh start. It had to reflect the center's unity and optimism, and make it easy for families and individuals to find the help they need.

Chapter · Approach

One door to get help, one to give it.

We started with the person who arrives in need. Their first question is what help exists and how to get it, so the site is organized around that.

Today the Receive Assistance section sorts support into financial assistance, the food pantry, Home Connections, and diapers and hygiene items. Each service gets a clear page of its own.

News and events have a home, so neighbors can follow what the center and its partners are doing.

A second door serves people who want to help. Ways to contribute and volunteer sit beside the ways to receive assistance, so giving and receiving each have a clear path.

The design is fresh and user-friendly, built on WordPress, and shaped to feel as welcoming as the center itself.

Chapter · Outcome

A front door as welcoming as the real one.

A first visit now answers two questions: what can the center do for me, and how can I help.

The site gives the center a digital front door that matches its optimism, with services, events, and ways to contribute in plain view.
